 * Hello, I am using wp rocket and wants to use memcached plugin. which plugin will
be suitable? I tried some plugins but it gives fatal error after enabling. while
googling I found a plugin docket cache, I thought it is a memcached plugin but
it was opcache plugin. after enabling this docket plugin usages of my server
resources decreased drastically. My server was using 10gbps disk io but after
enabling docket cache it reduced to 3-4mbps. some times it goes 1gbps for 1-2
minutes. It works very fine. but still I am finding memcached plugin. I tried
redis cache but it doesn’t work well. my server got overloaded with this plugin
too. That is why I am finding memcached plugin. can you please suggest me any
   good plugin?

 * Let’s start from Ground Zero, as this is a common misconception: Memcached, Redis,
Varnish, etc, are all server software. The plugins merely handle their configuration
   and cache management for WordPress.
 * That means you need to have the memcached (or Redis or Varnish) daemon installed
and running on your server before the plugin can do you any good.
 * So, before going any further, let’s first get this sorted: do you have **Memcached**
on your hosting server, or do you have access to an external Memcached server?

 * Looking at this again…
 * > I am using wp rocket and wants to use memcached plugin.
 * It seems what you need is the Memcached daemon (the server software), not a Memcached
   plugin.
 * The WP Rocket plugin you already have will play the same role that any Memcached
plugin would play, so there’s no need for a separate Memcached plugin.
 * What you need is a Memcached server for WP Rocket (or any other Memcached plugin)
   to use.
 * If those explanations don’t sit well with you, please contact the WP Rocket plugin’s
   authors for confirmation: [https://wp-rocket.me/support/](https://wp-rocket.me/support/)
 * Good luck!

 * [@gappiah](https://wordpress.org/support/users/gappiah/) Thank you for your quick
response. I am using a dedicated server. Yes I have memcached installed on my
server. but I will need wp plugin so that wp cache can be stored on it and I
   can manage the cache.
Regarding wp rocket, I was using only wp rocket but only
in the morning and late night my website load was fine. In day, evening, night
all the time server load was high. After using docket cache, my server load never
hiked. but problem is using docket cache RAM usage goes high after 2-3 days.
and after 2-3 days if I restart php to reduce RAM usage then RAM uses goes low
but almost 6-8 hours my server load goes high. sometimes load reduces and sometimes
goes high automatically. Next day server goes normal. using top command I can
see mysql load is high. After googling I found to use redis cache or memcached.
I used redis cache for few months but in the evening, server load goes high daily
for 4-5 hours. Then I removed redis cache and in the search of memcached I found
docket cache and docket cache worked very fine. my server disk io usages was
10gbps continuously even in the morning when I was using redis cache. using only
wp rocket, it also goes 10gbps but in the morning it was 6-7gbps. but after using
docket cache only 4-5mbps. sometimes it goes to 1gbps for 1-2 minutes only. Now
I am very confused what to do? Please suggest.
