# Memphis using WordPress posts categories causing issues

 * Memphis is using default WordPress posts categories and causing issues because
   of that: related news, selected by category, are calling for Memphis posts and
   it shouldn’t.
 * We have checked the issue with the theme developer and the answer was:
 * > I checked your site and as I can see everything works right, your “Memphis”
   > posts use WordPress categories, the same as WordPress posts. Contact the authors
   > of the plugin and ask them to change their taxonomy to exclude their posts 
   > from WordPress categories.
 * Can you please fix it?

 * Meanwhile, the theme developer was very helpful and kindly implemented a workaround
   for this particular situation that was messing with the website presentation (

 * Anyway, the issue remains and is still negatively impacting the user experience,
   as in [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mdocs-own-categories/](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/mdocs-own-categories/).

 * this issue is a conflict with another plugin, you will need to disable all plugins
   then enable them one at a time until the problem returns.

 * still have no fix yet, it is a very complicated problem and haven’t figured out
   a work around yet.
