# Menu Editing

 * Hi all!
 * Can somebody explain me – why when I create the menu in the Dashboard\Appearance\
   Menus and set it as default – nothing happens with real menu on my site?
 * I have tried to use other theme and to reinstall the WP but no result.
 * The main point is to add the forum link in the menu area.
 * WordPress 3.2.1.
    Theme Big City

 * Have you tried:
 * – deactivating **all** plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works,
   re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).
 * – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
 * – [resetting the plugins folder](http://codex.wordpress.org/FAQ_Troubleshooting#How_to_deactivate_all_plugins_when_not_able_to_access_the_administrative_menus.3F)
   by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause
   problems.

 * thanks you a lot – changing the theme really helps but when I turning back previous
   one (Big City) – the same problem
    can you help me to deal with it because I 
   liked that theme and want to leave it

 * Make sure there is no built-in menu option in this theme, which is might over
   riding the default wordpress menu

    You right Problem solved by editing functions.php and header.php files
