Menu keeps blocking content when using anchor links

I am looking for some assistance with an issue I am having with this plugin on the website (psycholoogopafstand.nl).

The menu shows perfectly fine on smaller screens.

But when I select an (anchor-)link, the menu doesn’t disappear automatically and keeps blocking the website (the only option is to click the big X to get rid of the menu).

I am using a one-page-layout, so mainly anchor links (links to specific spots on the website). The anchor spot loads well, but behind the menu (and so is blocked). Is there an option to make sure the menu disappears no matter what kind of link I click?

I already made sure the anchor links are set up well (contain the full url e.g. https://www.psycholoogopafstand.nl/#in-het-kort-online-psycholoog)
