 * I have a site that has a parent page and child pages. When you click on the parent
page in the left nav, the list of child pages appears to the right. However,
if the list of child pages is longer than content window on the right allows
for, the menu gets cut off. Does anyone have a suggestion for fixing this?

 * Could you please provide a link to your site so folks can help you more easily?
   Thanks.

 * I apologize for being slow providing a link. The owner of the site had it in
maintenance mode and I had to convince them to turn maintenance mode off so you
all could see it. The site is heavenearthcreations.com. Click on the gallery
menu item and you’ll see the menu is cut off at the bottom. If you go to a page
that has more content in the main panel, the entire menu is visible. Thanks foe
any help you all can provide.

 * Thanks for making the site live. I’ve taken a screenshot so feel free to hide
it again. I’ll investigate and keep you posted.

 * Your site seems to have some syntax errors – unclosed divs and the like:
 * [http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.heavenearthcreations.com%2F](http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.heavenearthcreations.com%2F)
 * Have you made any theme file or CSS edits at all? I noticed that the dark brown
sidebar isn’t fully extending down the left side of the screen like it should,
and the footer is missing. I have a feeling this is causing the menu issues.
 * Here are some troubleshooting ideas:
 * – if you’ve made any theme or CSS edits, revert back temporarily to a default
   version of the theme
    – if that doesn’t work, try deactivating all your plugins
temporarily to see if something might be interfering. If the problem goes away,
try reactivating them one at a time to find the culprit.
 * Let me know how it goes.

 * Thanks Kathryn. I spent some time looking through the changes I made to the site
and I think I created it when I was trying to get rid of the comments. I tried
your recommendation from a few years ago: Settings > Discussion > uncheck “Allow
people to post comments on new articles” but the Comment boxes still appeared.
Can you tell me what I’m doing wrong? I’ve reinstalled the theme and want to
make the changes the right way this time so I don’t create a problem.

 * I realized I need to turn off comments on each existing page as well. Unfortunately,
now that I’ve done that, the menu gets cut off again. I’ve made no changes to
any of the theme files since deleting/re-installing. Any ideas what I might have
done wrong? I’ve opened the site up turning off maintenance mode if you want
   to take a look.

 * Thanks for the updates. I see what you mean and have been able to replicate this
on a test site. The conditions seem to be:
 * – a very short page
    – a dropdown menu whose sub-menu items are so long that
they fall below the page footer
 * I’ll have our developers take a look and see if there’s anything that can be
done, considering the way the theme is structured.
 * As a workaround, I can suggest that instead of using a dropdown menu on Gallery,
you consider adding links – perhaps a bulleted list? – to the gallery categories(
floral, nature, etc.) on your gallery landing page:
 * Would that work for you?
