• My menu has recently stopped working. All the links have become not clickable and when I look in the html, the url for each link has disappeared.

I am using the WordPress V5.4 and am on PHP version 7.2. I tried deactivating all plugins and using one of the default themes but this didn’t help, it still wasn’t working.

When I tried deleting this menu and creating a new menu… upon selecting the required pages and clicking ‘Add to Menu’, the links are appearing on the right hand side as ‘Menu Item’ – Custom Link, but not linked to anything. In the past it would say the Page Name – Page.

I have also tried adding custom links and adding the URL for the required page, but the URL’s don’t show up when I save and refresh the page.

Any recommendations on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

If you have a backup of before the problem, you might want to restore it.
Are you using the Gutenberg plugin, by chance? (they are working on the new menu stuff in there)
