    What are your settings on the WP Recipe Maker > Settings > Metadata page?

    Is the option enabled to put the instruction text into the name field as well?

    under “instruction name field” I switched “Use regular instruction text if name is not set”, to (this will get you warnings in Google Search Console)”

    That fixed it.

    Does this warning have a big impact or is it okay that it exists?

    Another question, I have a warning for “video missing”, but I do have a youtube video embedded, however, this youtube video is embedded with privacy-enhanced mode.

    is the video section only for local video files maybe?

    No, that warning is not a problem. It’s related to the guided recipes metadata: https://help.bootstrapped.ventures/article/263-metadata-for-guided-recipes

    What’s the exact embed code you’re using for the video?

    This is how my embeds look right now:

    <div class="embed-youtube">
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/2r8u4ZxHK2k" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>
    </div>

    I use enhanced privacy mode for GDPR related stuff, and then in order to size it correctly in the recipe card because it was not responsive when the iframe size was set (this is set because of the privacy enhancement) I had to use some custom CSS, and that is where the <div class=”embed-youtube”> , </div> comes from.

    I’m afraid we don’t support a youtube-nocookie.com URL at the moment.

    We do support this plugin, not sure if that has the same options: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-youtube-lyte/

    Okay, I gave that plugin a try, It broke my recipe card so I have to remove it. It however picked up the video in the meta. How important is the video meta for SEO, will google pick up the video data even though it is not inside the card? I know I have SERPs where my video comes as a preview, does using enhanced privacy mode ruin the chances of this happening because the meta is not picked up?

    (I recently started using enhanced privacy mode, I got my video preview ranked before)

    I understand if you don’t have answers to these questions, but if you think SEO will hurt because of the privacy mode I will try to fix another way of displaying the video to activate the schema data.

    It’s not the most important part for SEO, but ideally the video is part of the metadata as well.

    I can look into the nocookie URL and see if it’s possible to make things compatible.

    Yea, I thought so too. Right now I fixed it so I have a privacy overlay that blocks tracking from normal youtube embed codes and needs to be clicked in order to activate the video embed, but it would be nice to skip that step and have the nocookie embed available instead because it would look a lot better. So if it is possible to implement that in a future update, it would be appreciated.

    Hi again,

    I wanted to let you know we just released WP Recipe Maker 8.2.0 which now supports getting metadata for youtube-nocookie.com URLs as well.
