# Migrate WordPress.org to WordPress.com?

 * Thanks in advance for advice to a WordPress newcomer. I prefer to have my site
   hosted independently but a client has asked me to design a site that eventually
   will be merged with their existing WordPress.com site. Is it possible to do this
   with a WordPress.org site?

 * I would assume wordpress.com uses the same import/export as .org
    dashboard –
   tools
 * you can ask there

 * or even sign up for a blog and play with it
