# Migrating WordPress.com video / audio bracket functionality

 * I’m moving a blog over from WordPress.com to WordPress.org. In the posts of the
   WordPress.com there are some tags that look like [wpvideo pz55RaRA] which makes
   a Video Press video embed, [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ya686WgZlM&
   hl=en&fs=1&] for a YouTube embed, and an audio embed call like [audio [http://theblogsite.wordpress.com/files/2009/09/someaudio.mp3%5D](http://theblogsite.wordpress.com/files/2009/09/someaudio.mp3%5D).
 * There are also quite a few [caption id="attachment_1419" align="alignleft" width
   ="105" caption="The Caption"] brackets scattered throughout the posts that seems
   to carry over into WordPress.org fine, so I’m confused.
 * Is there some functionality I’m missing here? WordPress.com doesn’t have “plugins”
   persay, but is there a plugin that is standard with WordPress.com that handles
   this functionality that I need to download for WordPress.org?

 * I’m surprised that there is nothing addressing this issue. This is a huge problem
   if I have to manually go and change EVERY embed over to a real embed code. Why
   doesn’t the WordPress.org framework include this functionality inherently?
 * Very strange.
