# Migration Script/Tool?

 * We’re having trouble finding an appropriate tool for migrating data from one 
   environment to another.
 * The current setup we have:
 * It’s all running in a Docker container, media files are stored in an EFS with
   the database in RDS Aurora. (Using separate read and write endpoints.) Downloads
   are stored in an S3 bucket (AWS).
   Docker containers are prepared with all our
   plugins and other configuration, before being committed to use with Elastic Container
   Service. (This also includes some custom code, including two custom plugins.)
   We’re using Elementor for the design.
 * From what i’ve been told, WP-Migrate isn’t a good option for us as it seems to
   only let you migrate the entire wordpress environment, rather than picking and
   choosing what to transfer.
 * Is there another tool available that would let us do this?

 * There are a good number of[ migration plugins available](https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/migrate/).
   I don’t know which would let you do selective migration, but I’d expect at least
   a few do. Even the built-in export tool will let you selectively export at some
   level. Not at a pick and choose one by one level, but by post type, author, category,
   and date range are possible criteria for selection.
