# Migration test to github pages

 * I’m testing out using wordpress and the simply static plugin to generate a static
   website in order to commit to github pages. I’m new to github but I get [https://jxfischer.github.io/samplesite.wilcoxrobotics.github.io/](https://jxfischer.github.io/samplesite.wilcoxrobotics.github.io/)
   this which is not the intended outcome. Does anyone know how this is supposed
   to work. I’m just generating a zip with Simply Static and unzipping the files
   into github.

 * I’m not sure what your actual question is. If you’re referring to the broken 
   styles, that’s because several assets are throwing error 404: just check your
   browser’s console to see what’s missing.
 * I’m not familiar with the **Simply Static plugin**, and can’t say why it’s unable
   to generate static versions of those missing assets. Perhaps you shouldn’t be
   running any caching/optimization plugins at the time you generate the static 
   version of the site? Dunno 😀
 * So I’ll kindly recommend that you post in the **Simply Static plugin’s** own 
   support forum here, so the plugin’s developer and support community can help 
   you out:
