 * Hi guys,
 * I’m sorry if I missed something but is there an option to help switch from http
   to https?
    In [this 2016 article](https://themeisle.com/blog/set-up-all-in-one-seo-pack/),
   there is a mention of “Set protocol for canonical URLs” with an option to choose
   between http and https. Is that gone in the current version?
 * 1. I can see a canonical option but how can I ensure http urls reference https
   urls to avoid duplicate content?
 * 2. Should everything be done through my .htaccess?
 * Thank you so much for your help.
 * Karim

 * All in One SEO Pack never offered the functionality of switching your website
   from http to https.
    That option was just for forcing the canonical URLs to the
   desired protocol. As this option isn’t necessary for the most part if you’ve
   switched to https the right way, we removed the option in version 2.3.11. [https://github.com/semperfiwebdesign/all-in-one-seo-pack/issues/443](https://github.com/semperfiwebdesign/all-in-one-seo-pack/issues/443)
   We did add a filter hook to do this though: [https://semperplugins.com/documentation/filter-to-change-canonical-url-protocol/](https://semperplugins.com/documentation/filter-to-change-canonical-url-protocol/)
 * We have a guide on setting up https here: [https://semperplugins.com/documentation/setting-up-https-ssl/](https://semperplugins.com/documentation/setting-up-https-ssl/)
