• Hi,

We recently installed the W3 Total Cache plug-in and saw a major speed increase when the Amazon Cloudfront CDN was connected. Thank you!

I self maintain our website and don’t have a tremendous amount of technical knowledge but get by most times. Here’s the issue:

I was playing around with the minify settings and selected an option that I didn’t realize was not a default setting. Once it started the minifying process (likely when I clicked save or something), I turned it off after about 30 seconds of it running. Now I notice that just trying to do a simple thing like making new paragraph on a web page is not working. For example, if I make two paras in the edit page it shows as one para on the live page. I’ve ensure all caches are cleared and it’s been that way for about 6 hours.

I’m wondering if this could have been caused by turning on and off the minify setting? I did just purchase the professional plug-in setup so hopefully someone can repair any incorrect settings I may have made.

Any help would be appreciated even if it’s just a response saying ‘changing your minify settings on and off won’t affect page editing processes’.

    Thank you.

  • 1. What is your site url and what did you enable in the minify settings?
    2. I would get a refund as you will likely never get that service.

    Hi Destac,

Here’s the URL. The top para is two paragraphs in the edit page:

    http://apstraining.com/uprt-programs/

I just clicked the ‘enable’ button on the minify section (it’s not enabled now). Below the button is says “Minification can decrease file size of HTML, CSS, JS and feeds respectively by ~10% on average.” As I mentioned above, I was in there looking at settings and must have left it on when I saved the page (my mistake).

If they don’t provide the service, then we’ll cancel the payment.

Thank you for any help you can offer.

I don’t think it has to do with your option, rather that there is no <p> tag. You could try going into your settings, setting a <p> tag for each paragraph and see if that does anything.
