# Minimizing Chatbot

 * Hello,
 * How can I achieve the following scenario for the Chatbox?
 * User visit the website, the Chatbox will pop up after x seconds then fade away(
   I can do that).
 * Next thing is that I don’t want the welcome message to pop up every time the 
   user visits another page.

    As you correctly
   mentioned, there is option GREETING DIALOG DISPLAY that can be set to Fade, [see](https://monosnap.com/file/vwJDP4bq9sub9oJfCiJxLjzXyY13oq)
   If the option is set to Fade, then it applied to all pages even after reloading.
   Maybe you better select Hide option instead of Fade, in that case, chat widget
   will be shown on every page but the greeting won’t pop up until user clicks on
   the widget.
 * Another option that affects is if the user closed or minimized the chat widget,
   on page reload the greeting should not pop up again. This is controlled ty browser
   caching, [see from FB docs](https://monosnap.com/file/Rc4wMz2BaBjvmOmSdYBxqDe1LCCt32)
 * The second option should work for most of the users, but note that this might
   depend on how the browser interacts with the cache, so might not be working for
   some browsers.
    But this is out of our control.
