# Missing a temporary folder.

 * Hello.
 * After updating WordPress to 4.7.5 version, I was unable to upload any media file.
   I get the ““File.jpeg” has failed to upload. Missing a temporary folder.” error
   message.
 * Re-installing WordPress doesn’t work either, I get this message:
    Update WordPress
   Downloading update from [https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-4.7.5-no-content.zip…](https://downloads.wordpress.org/release/wordpress-4.7.5-no-content.zip…)
   Download failed.: The checksum of the file () does not match the expected checksum
   value (bfd4eb89bb0c7d2eb16d431aa70228bc). Installation Failed
 * Updating plugins stopped work also. I get the message “Missing archive file ‘/
   tmp/ari-stream-quiz.1.2.12-YTMZsG.tmp”
 * Can you help me out?

 * Yes. Problem solved.
    Finally the hosting provider answered my questions. It 
   was due to a folder permissions.
