Missing Custom Attributes when editing

I’ve been using Events Made Easy successfully for the past couple of months with a couple of custom attributes for each event we’re listing. This was worked correctly with the attributes section appearing in the entry page based upon the text set up in the EME settings.
Today I logged into the site and while all of the settings etc. are still valid, the attributes field no longer appears in the event. For existing events, the values are clearly still populated as they render in entries, pages, widgets etc. (I even modified one of the attribute calls in the general entry to add a default set of text which worked correctly) however there is no way to add or edit these values.
This site is hosted on a centrally managed system so I don’t know if updates have been applied (I have asked the provider) however I wanted to know if anyone had seen this behaviour before as it’s pretty weird…?
