# Missing gtag.js switch

 * For some reason, I don’t see the setting to switch from analytics.js to gtag.
   js, as advertised in the recent blog post.

 * Hi Gal,
    The option to migrate early to gtag only appears if you’ve not already
   done the migration and will also not appear on new MonsterInsights installs (
   as they use gtag from the start).

 * I see now. Thank you.
 * On a new installation, which uses gtag.js, I’m not seeing any GA4 properties.
   Connecting to this type of property would be my main reason for switching.
 * Is there a way to connect them?
 * If not, what’s the plan?

 * I’m not seeing any way to use gtag at all. My site only has a gtag and doesn’t
   show up while trying to connect, and there is no option to search for gtag rather
   than UA
