 * I try on IIS 7.5 server and UNIX Server with Apache and get the missing options
   optipng, gifsicle and Gmagick.

title:eww image optimizer JUNOD) Noticed that each uploaded file in wp-content/
uploads/ is stored in multiple data-sizes which clutters the server. Regards,
   Chris

 * Any issues on IIS are usually permissions-related, the binaries/executables work
on pretty much any newer version, including Windows 10. You can try opening a
command line and running them from there just to verify that they are compatible
   with your server.
 * As for your “UNIX” server, I would need to know more about what version/type
of UNIX you are running to give any definitive answers, but I built the binaries
   on FreeBSD 9.3 64-bit.
 * If all else fails, the API works with any server architecture (which is why I
   build it): [https://ewww.io/plans/](https://ewww.io/plans/)

 * Our provider answered as follows:
“Your web server runs under FreeBSD 10.2.
Next week we will update it to FreeBSD 10.3. For your convenience we added an
   info.php file at [http://wlu18www209.webland.ch/info.php](http://wlu18www209.webland.ch/info.php)
It includes further details about the web server and the PHP module in use.”
 * Does it help?

 * That certainly does, I’ll do some testing and see if it is possible to make the
binaries work under 64-bit FreeBSD 10.x. We don’t have many FreeBSD users, so
I don’t get a ton of feedback (if I get any at all) when I make architectural
   changes for that platform.

 * Thanks nosilver4u. Seems to be the reason for the error messages. I forwarded
   to our provider.
Anyway I loaded plenty of jpegs in the mean time and they look
OK on screen. All resized down to max 1000 x 1000 px. The plugin came free with
photome theme. See work in progress at [http://wlu18www209.webland.ch](http://wlu18www209.webland.ch)

 * Seeing as how version 9 is EOL at the end of this year (in 9 days), I’m making
FreeBSD 10.3 the officially supported release. I’m planning to have binaries
available within the next couple releases.

 * Well, that’s interesting, I setup a 10.3 virtual machine, and the binaries are
   working just fine, as is.
So I took another look at your debug, should have
caught this way earlier… Your binaries are corrupt, so they can’t run. Going
to take a guess and say you installed them via FTP?
 * Try deleting the plugin, and installing from the built-in plugin installer, instead
of copying the plugin manually to the server. Either that, or make sure your
FTP client is in BIN mode instead of ASCII.

 * Since I installed your newest version 3.2.1. of the EWW, there are no more error
messages! So it really looks like the former version, which came with the purchase
of the former PhotoMe version, didn’t install the plugin’s files well. My provider
was helpfull in installing WP in parallel with their Unix server as it seems
that many our client’s providers prefer Unix to run WP. Now I keep the Unix and
dropped the IIS. Well “much ado about nothing” to quote Shakespeare. And, of
course tx 4 your help anyway.

 * I wouldn’t ever run a production server with IIS, Linux or a UNIX like FreeBSD
   is the way to go.
