 * Well, I’m hoping this problem is because of the theme I’m using, and not the
hosting service I’m using. I’m using the Sundance theme, and when I went to manually
change my password I couldn’t find the fields anywhere on my profile page. My
site is a sub-domain through siterubix, if there is a known problem there instead.
The closest thing to a relevant topic I’ve been able to find is over 5 years
old. If there’s any other specific info you need let me know what it is and I’ll
   get it for you.

 * When you go to change your password at Users -> Your Profile in your Dashboard,
you should find a “Generate Password” button towards to bottom.
 * Click that to generate a new strong random password, and if you don’t want to
use that, simply highlight it like you would with any text field and type in
the password you want then save.

 * The problem I’m having is that no such field exists, anywhere on my profile page
   when I’m in the Dashboard.
 * I’ll try updating to 4.4 and see if that makes a difference or not.

 * Nope, updating to 4.4 didn’t restore those missing Password Update fields. Guess
I need to go another round with the hosting service for the site, as it was their‘
site builder’ I used to create the site (although from the looks of things that‘
site builder’ is just a front end for making a quick Word Press site). Maybe
someday I’ll actually be able to set passwords I’ll be able to easily remember
   myself.

 * Do you have a Generate Password button at Users -> Your Profile?

 * Nope, and that’s what makes me think it might be the hosting service I’m using
   rather than something else.

 * Possibly, that’s really weird. Just to be sure, try deactivating all plugins.
If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the
   cause.
 * If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme
to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

 * Finally, I got some time to work on my site again. I tried both of those, the
password change fields are still missing. At this point I’m considering it a
problem with either the site-builder I used or the hosting service I use (they
provided the site-builder) so I’ll have to contact them about this instead now.
 * I also need to figure out how to be able to add page-specific posts, with just
a partial post on the main page that links to the full post, so that I can attempt
to do a variety of different themed tales, and maybe even some multiple-chapter
ones, without everything getting jumbled up on the main page.

 * If you’re in the text editor, use this where you want the content to split:
 * `<!--more-->`
 * If you’re in the visual editor, the button looks like a line horizontally dividing
   two rectangles.
 * If your theme is built properly, everything above the More tag will appear on
the front and in post listings, where as everything below will require visiting
the post directly or clicking a “Read More” (text differs depending on theme)
   link.
