# Missing Plugin!

 * For some reason this plugin is randomly being deleted from our plugin directory.
   I thought someone was deleting it by accident, but I witnessed the vanishing 
   plugin via ftp and know it wasn’t deleted by human hands. Have you heard anyone
   else having this issue? Its baffling to me and I’m the plugin developer for ShareThis!

 * As you know, plugins generally won’t delete themselves without a direct user 
   action.
 * Off the top of my head:
    - Your hosting company may have a script in place that automatically deletes
      blacklisted plugins. If that’s the case, then WPP probably is in this list
      for some reason. This happened once with a major hosting company, fortunately
      we were able to work it out together and they removed the plugin from their
      blacklist shortly afterwards.
    - Your site may have been compromised. A rogue plugin / script might be behind
      this, althought it would be odd that it’s only targetting WPP. Still, I’d 
      run a security check just in case. [Wordfence](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordfence/)
      might be of help in this situation.
    - Gremlings.
 * Either way, I think it would be a good idea to check with your hosting company
   about this (although I doubt they could do anything about the Gremlings if that’s
   what’s going on).
