# Missing posts after trying to import from wordpress.com

 * I am very new and not technically-skilled at all.
 * I am trying to move a blog from the free WordPress site to a paid host at ipage.
   The blog has multiple authors and I’m using tools–>export, saving the xml on 
   my hard drive, and then tool–>import on the new blog. After the import I notice
   that many of the posts from one author are missing. I tried to export just that
   author and import just that author, but there are still posts missing. Everything
   else seems to be importing correctly except that one author.
 * At ipage, when I scroll to the bottom it says that I’m using version 2.9.2.
 * I searched here and google and was unable to find anything. The original blog
   is genxmoms.wordpress.com.
