Which version did you upgrade from? (I assume you upgraded to 4.1.)

Hm, the most recent updates never touched the posts table, so I imagine something else may have gone wrong.

Check with your hosting provider, they may have a backup of your account prior to the update.
Were the missing posts created in part by a plugin, or were they just normal posts?
yah, I’m trying to see with them, they ask me to buy the back up :)))! Just normal posts; the only plugin I use is to desplay pdfs, no automatic posts with plugin!
