 * Hello [@madsb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/madsb/)
 * I’d be happy to help!
 * It sounds as the problem is related with Loco translate directly. I was able
   to find a thread where this was discussed previously:
 * 1) [wp_set_script_translations](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp_set_script_translations/)

   2) [Problem on sync](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-on-sync/)
 * My best recommendation is to read over those and check the suggestions from the
   plugin developer. If this does not work, you can reach out to Loco Translate
   directly.
 * Let us know if you have any question.

 * Thanks, the article did not help much. I finally created a .pot file myself,
   but now I need to translate 392 strings, do you have the strings I can download?
   🙂

 * Hi there!
 * You can download a .PO file from [https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woo-gutenberg-products-block/](https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woo-gutenberg-products-block/)
 * Choose a language, then choose the “Set / Sub Project” you wish to use, then
   scroll to the very bottom and there is an export option.
 * Hope this helps!

 * Thanks for the fast reply! I haw now installed the .po files but the problem
   is the same. a week ago the plugin was 100 % translated but now it’s only 3%
   and the website you refer to is only 8% translated. Why did this happen? new
   update? The language is Danish btw.

 * Howdy,
 * You should be able to do the following:
 * * Set your WordPress site to Dansk: [https://d.pr/i/reD8NC](https://d.pr/i/reD8NC)
   *
   Trigger a translation download via WordPress-opdateringer: [https://d.pr/i/S9Lfub](https://d.pr/i/S9Lfub)*
   This should download the Danish file: [https://d.pr/i/ttqgIO](https://d.pr/i/ttqgIO)
 * And leave you with a 100% translated file: [https://d.pr/i/Ns4AuG](https://d.pr/i/Ns4AuG)

 * Thanks for the reply. that didn’t help either :-/ when I checked the settings
   and the update page I already got all updates for the translation files: “Oversættelser.

   Alle dine oversættelser er opdaterede.” I tried to change from Danish to English
   and back to Danish again with the same result.
 * I tried again and now the plugin is 100 % translated but not really… only 10
   strings are translated. The checkout and cart page are still in English. What
   could I try?

 * Öhm, You are right: [https://d.pr/i/T2VvmL](https://d.pr/i/T2VvmL) – I missed
   that, sorry.
 * >  What could I try?
 * I am afraid that is all we got. Our language file … needs improvement.
    I think
   you will need to create a better one. I did some searching around, but there
   is no other file I can offer you.

 * Okay thank you for the help! 😊 I wonder why this problem started. A week ago,
   there was a 100% translation for more than 10 strings including the cart and
   checkout page but when I synchronized a week ago suddenly all the translations
   is gone? Are you sure that there isn’t a translation file?

 * Hi [@madsb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/madsb/).
 * > Are you sure that there isn’t a translation file?
 * To clarify, there should definitely be a .pot file. As for a .po file, it seems
   like this does exist as well, and, regardless, po files should not randomly disappear.
 * Where are you storing the .po and .pot files you’re creating? If you store them
   in the plugin folder, they will be erased if you update the plugin. Could that
   be what’s happening?

 * Hi, that’s reason I contacted the support. It randomly disappears, i don’t know
   when and how.
 * the po and .pot file are stored on localhost under: “\apps\wordpress\htdocs\wp-
   content\languages\plugins”
 * Could this be the problem and if so, how do I get the file back/work again? Will
   it solve the problem when i migrate to the live website?

 * Hi [@madsb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/madsb/) ,
 * Are you still using Loco Translate for this? If yes, I would suggest that you
   reach out to developers directly here: [https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/loco-translate/](https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/loco-translate/)
 * They should be able to point you in the right direction. Thanks!

 * The topic states “missing .pot file” which is correct. **This plugin does not
   ship with a POT file**. I don’t know if one used to be provided, but there isn’t
   one in the current version.
 * Users of Loco Translate have various options to get around this problem as outlined
   in my FAQ: [How can I add a language without a translation template?](https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/faqs/template-missing).
 * As per the link: My recommendation to anyone with this problem is to manually*
   download a PO file that is known to be up to date with the available source strings,
   and use this in lieu of the missing POT file. The downloaded file can be in any
   language.
 * * I say manually, because WordPress-installed language packs are purged of strings
   that are only used in JavaScript. Loco Translate has some features to mitigate
   this problem, but it becomes a rather technical nuisance.
 * Generally I [advise against](https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/manual/templates)
   translators generating their own POT files, and particularly in this case because
   Loco Translate has [only limited capability](https://localise.biz/wordpress/plugin/manual/extracting#js)
   to generate POT files from JavaScript files.
