 * Also, when using HTML Validation it is pickign up errors like:
 * > Error in line 639 at character 304: The “img” element (with class=”fg-image”)
   > requires the “src” attribute.
 * Example:
 * `<img title="Ribbon" width="100" height="100" data-src-fg="http://www.publictalksoftware.
   co.uk/wp-content/uploads/cache/2018/04/pt0/3907932661.png" class="fg-image" /
   >`
 * I notice you are using `data-src-fg` instead of `src`. Is this a matter that
   needs looking at for SEO purposes?
 * Thanks.
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fmissing-src-attributes%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * The HTML Validator authors are going to add a new comment in their software with
   a specific message about this issue.
 * But I appreciate a reply. Thank you.

 * hi [@ajtruckle](https://wordpress.org/support/users/ajtruckle/) – sorry for the
   delay.
    This happens at the moment so that we can control the loading of the
   thumbs via javascript.
 * I have been playing around with this to see if it is possible to include a src
   attribute that points to a 1×1 transparent gif. It seems to work, so we will
   release a setting in an update that will allow you to turn this on if you want
   to be 100% valid HTML. It will be off by default.

 * Was this released in an update yet? “we will release a setting in an update that
   will allow you to turn this on if you want to be 100% valid HTML. It will be
   off by default.”
 * I am having trouble trying to fix my broken galleries because the images have
   data-src-fg instead of only src.
 * Thank you
    Jared

 * I have tested adding a src attribute pointing to a transparent 1×1 image so that
   it passes validation. I then need to wrap this functionality in a setting so
   that it can be enabled. I still have to do that.
 * [@jarednolt16](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jarednolt16/) – I am not sure
   this will fix your issue. Please can you start a new topic and provide a link
   to your gallery so that we can have a look.

 * Hello, I think I’m having a related issue with my galleries on this page: [http://oceandiamonds.com/diamonds/](http://oceandiamonds.com/diamonds/)
 * In the first column of the first table, there are some Foogallery galleries but
   they do not show up after the page has been refreshed once.
 * I noticed that the element loses its src attribute when the page has been refreshed
   once – how can I fix this please?
 * Thanks
    Sarah

 * Hi sarahl789,
    I think what I did was in the “Gallery Settings” change the Gallery
   Type that is displaying the image.
