 * Hello.
 * I’ve been using wordpress for 10 years. I’m a designer, not so much of a developer,
and have created many websites for clients on wordpress.
 * My problem right now surrounds a successful installing, but for some reason when
I try to upload media using wordpress (pictures), I get an error stating, “Missing
   Temporary Folder.”
 * When I googled for solutions, I came across a mismatch of information.
 * 1. Contact my web host.
    2. Create php.ini file 3. Reinstall WordPress
 * However, I did contact my web host (1and1.ca) and they told me to reinstall wordpress
and create the php.ini file. They also told me this has nothing to do with them,
and offered to search my directory for a php.ini file, and obviously it wasn’t
   there.
 * So I reinstalled wordpress, and nothing changed. I then tried to figure out how
to create a php.ini file, and thus again, a huge mismatch of information.
 * The reason why I need to get this resolved, is because my client wants the ability
to upload and update his website with photos over time. And because he has no
prior knowledge of web design or anything, I can’t really tell him to upload
through and FTP and code it in. He needs the ability to upload through wordpress
   as it’s much user friendly.
 * As I previously mentioned, I’m not so much of a developer, more of a designer,
so a lot of the information I’m finding to solve this issue is going way over
   my head.
 * If anyone could **please help**, that would be greatly appreciated!

 * They are wrong. This IS a server issue. Go back to them. You’re paying them for
   hosting support.

 * Thanks for getting back to me.
 * Out of curiosity, how is it a server issue?

 * It’s a missing setting in the server’s configuration files.
