 * Hello, I have WP 6.01.
 * I can’t modify anything on a user’s profile. In particular, I’m trying to change
the details of the admin users.
 * There isn’t an Update Profile button on the User Profile page. (Moreover, the
other buttons, Set New Password and Log Out Everywhere Else don’t work either.)
 * Is this a known bug in WP 6.01? Or is there some incompatibility with one of
the plugins that might be hiding the Update button?
 * (I tried to display the page on Edge and Chrome, and in Private/Incognito mode,
but there’s no difference, so it doesn’t appear to be a browser incompatibility
   issue.)
 * This problem is only on this installation of WP. I have other websites with the
same installation (and theme), and the Update User Profile button is visible,
and the other buttons work. So I suppose it may have something to do with a rouge
   plugin perhaps?

 * Resolved. It turned out to be an old plugin, Contact Form 7 (which has since
been discontinued) and/or addons to this plugin. I uninstalled the plugin (in
one case, it had to be done manually by deleting the folder in ../plugins).
 * And then everything returned to “normal”.
 * No doubt if you have a similar issue then probably the first thing you should
try is to gradually deactivate your plugins.
 * What helped to identify the culprit was to install the WP Debugging plugin. So
it wasn’t a brute force having to go through each plugin in turn… 🙂
 * (However, in my case this wasn’t sufficient. I had to DELETE the plugin before
the error was resolved. It might not be feasible to do this for plugins with
saved data or configuration. So perhaps duplicate/backup your wordpress site
and then gradually delete plugins until your problem is resolved. Using the debug
monitor might prevent you having to follow this more drastic approach.)
