I updated to it this morning, and I don’t have access to the visual editor toolbar. I’ve double-checked the path and it’s correct – that is where the image is on my server. Playing a hunch, I tried doing the install from my laptop, which has FileZilla 3.1.5 installed rather than FileZilla 3.1.5.1 that my deskotp had installed. I repeated the identical procedure (delete, then upload), and now everything seems to be working OK. Now it works perfectly fine.. which is strange, but I’m glad it works at least. I’ll be sticking to 3.1.5 for a while. Thank you jasondunn! I was doing research on it and noticed there were a few posts in the Forum about problems hosting on 1and1.com as well. I was able to resolve the issue of the visual tools by doing 2 things. * 1and1.com uses PHP 4 and I was told that WordPress needs PHP 5. 2 solutions fixed this problem. * 1) I created an .htaccess file which was downloaded to the root directory. All it contains it this: AddType x-mapp-php5 .php * 2)I had used Filezila to download the WP files and had several error messages and was researching 1and1.com because I had similar problems with another CMS program I had tried to use. * I reinstalled the files with SmartFTP and everything is now working fine.
