 * Looks like you’ve got an empty p tag at the bottom of that pages content. I suggest
   deleting it and the space should go away.

 * Be sure that when you’re using the column shortcode that you select the amount
   of columns before adding content and don’t just duplicate columns. Each number
   of columns requires a different shortcode.

 * You can use that plugin if you like, but the built in columns should work.
 * For best layout control, I recommend a page builder plugin. They’re easy to use
   and there are a bunch of great ones out there.
