mod_rewrite causes “500 internal server error”

    unfortunately, despite the allegedt speed benefits, enabling mod_rewrite caching just causes a “500 internal server error” seemingly on the *2nd* time the site is loaded. to get PHP based caching back, i have to deactivate & reactivate the plugin entirely. i’m on apache.

    Hey!

    It looks like a lot of people are running into the same issue.

    On my end i deactivated the following rule in the plug-in setup:
    Compress pages so they’re served more quickly to visitors. (Recommended)

    but i guess i’m missing most of the benefit of using a cache plugin.
