Modifying Pages Widget / Slideshow Gallery

Hello, this is my first time using WP.org and I have a question about the Pages widget and the slideshow gallery.

So I’m working on this website (vickieelmer.com), and I want:

1. One of the sections to be minimized with the most subpages (My Detroit & Michigan), but I want the subpages to show when I click on the parent page. What code should I use to make that happen?

2. On her About Me page, she wants a slideshow for her pictures on the page. I know that there’s a Gallery widget for it (she has Jetpack), but she doesn’t want it on the sidebars. Is there a plug-in or a specific code I need to activate this?
