 * I am trying to modify and override the notifications.php file but the changes
   are not taking effect. My file path looks like this (/wp-content/themes/simple_job_board/
   simple-job-board/includes/class-simple-job-board-notifications.php). Could you
   help, please. Thank you.

 * You can use theme level templating only for simple-job-board/templates files 
   not for other files of plugins. That’s why you are not getting required changes
   in notifications.
