 * Is there a way to monitor how many people take the rss feed?

 * One way is to run your feed through Feedburner and provide the feedburner link
   instead of the regular RSS link.

 * Sorry if this is a n00b question, but I have looked around online and Feedburner
   is the only one I have found that looks semi-ok.

 * the rather useful stattraq seems to give you some kind of a figure for “rss/atom/
   feeds” under “most viewed posts”, but i have no idea what the figure relates 
   to. would love to know if there is an answer to your question though.
