# Move from HTTP to HTTPS

 * I want to change the protocol of my multisite (using subdirectories) from HTTP
   to HTTPS.
    Can I just do the following to the databse? finding [http://www.example.org](http://www.example.org)
   replacing with [https://www.example.org](https://www.example.org) Is it enough?
 * Another question… Does changing the `guid` cells make any problem other than 
   its effect on the feed ([mentioned here](https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL#Important_GUID_Note))?

 * You also need to replace all internal links (e.g., the links to images). Use 
   the plugin “better search and replace”. I usually replace the guids, too.

 * Is it possible that WordPress rely on something not exactly “[http://www.example.org&#8221](http://www.example.org&#8221);
   for generating and using some URLs in somewhere? Something like a “http” alone
   in some settings or “true or false” settings or anything other than merely the“
   [http://www.example.org&#8221](http://www.example.org&#8221); string.
    Actually
   I want to make sure that finding and replacing those strings mentioned in the
   question would be enough.
