# Move Installation

 * We changed themes and moved to a fresh wp install. In this process we moved the
   data from the old installation however it is not showing up in the new install,
   is there a way to export the data from the db or export it and import it into
   the new version?

 * We moved to a fresh install and did an export from wordpress with the wordpress
   default export tool.

 * If you’re moving the entire database you should use a tool such as [WP Migrate DB](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-migrate-db/).
   The default export tool won’t include custom tables or perform and find and replace
   on the data.
