# Move WordPress

    My WordPress is located here [http://www.almennt.com/wordpress](http://www.almennt.com/wordpress)
   is it safe to move everything to my root, and then edit in admin panel “WordPress
   address (URL): and Blog address (URL):”

 * I followed the guide here step by step and the move went mostly fine until I 
   tried to click the links. They still referred to the old folder.
 * I have it all stored in [http://www.fotokunstner.no/wordpress](http://www.fotokunstner.no/wordpress)
   at this time, I tried to move it to my root however the links referred to pages
   and posts within the /wordpress folder still.
 * Any idea why this happened? I have a redirect in my .htaccess file now so it 
   isnt such a big deal, I only want the URL to reflect that they are in the root
   of my website as well.
 * Hope someone knows more about this or can redirect me to other threads discussing
   the same things.
