 * Hi,
 * I’m on the verge of moving a multisite network from a testfolder to the root
   on the same server.
    Could you give a detailed step by step for doing this? I
   don’t find any documentation. Probably there’s more than one string to replace
   with a multisite network? Secondly the import part confuses me. Maybe it is as
   simple as it looks, but knowing moving a multisite is pretty nasty…I maybe can’t
   believe it is just export, import the dump and login on the new location :)?
 * Thanks in advance

    We pride our plugin
   with being super simple on the outside while doing very complicated things on
   the inner side. The moving of a multisite consists of: 1. Renaming your site
   url – use the search/replace tool where you need to type your current site url
   in the first field and your destination site url in the second file. e.g. Search:
   [https://servmask.com/wordpress](https://servmask.com/wordpress) Replace: [https://servmask.com](https://servmask.com)
   2. Search/replace the folder name of your install with an empty string. e.g.
   Search: wordpress Replace:<don’t type anything here>
 * Once you generate the package file, you need to go to your destination blog and
   just drag and drop the package file in the specified area. You need to wait until
   a green messages shows saying that your import has been successful.
 * Let me know how it went and if you need any assistance.

 * Thanks Yani. The last part is where I am confused.
    The import. Since this is
   a simple folder move, Do I need to setup a basic wordpress install first at the
   destination with a new DB (otherwise the current DB might become messy?), before
   doing the import? Before this with single WP installs I used Migrate DB plugin,
   which gave a mySQL dump. So there I imported the adjusted DB, moved the folder
   through FTP and done.
 * Thanks
