 * Hello. I am new to wordpress and am making an Intranet for another company. I
   have set it all up at my computer using MAMP as the server. Now I am at the other
   place and am having some trouble getting it to come on to their server. I have
   dowloaded the files but the next step on the the following pdf says that I need
   to export the database into MySQL. how do I do this?

 * Hi there,
 * You can export and import databases with WordPress quite easily.
 * 1. Log in to the WordPress site that is finished.
    2. Go to the settings menu
   and look for import / export in the submenu 3. Go to export 4. Choose what content
   you want to transfer 5. Download the database
 * Once downloaded
 * 6. Log in to the new site where you want to import the database
    7. Go to the
   import settings 8. Choose WordPress 9. Upload the database you just downloaded
   from the other site
 * That’s it.
 * Good luck!

 * Hello Jeroen,
 * A quick bit of caution. On some hosts, if your database is beyond 50 MB, then
   you will need to contact the host and ask for some help. They may have a limit
   as to the size of the database that can be done directly in the interface provided
   to you (very often in the cPanel phpMyadmin). The support people for your host
   can input the database for you very quickly if that is the case. Just upload
   the file to the location of your WordPress site and let them know.
 * Kindest regards,
    Arnel C.

 * Thank you for your help [@jeroen-verhoeven](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jeroen-verhoeven/).

   Next question.. I am not getting an error that says Can’t Select Database. How
   do I now correct this?
