 * Hi
 * I hope someone can help, I had a wordpress installation on a windows server iis6.

   I’ve recently moved to a linux server centos5.
 * I backed up the database and all files in the installation, I moved the domain
   name over to the new server, however I cannot seem to get the wordpress files
   working, I’ve read several of the guides on here but it doesnt seem to work.
 * I cannot access the admin area and it doesnt show any css.
 * I’ve imported the database to the new server with the same details and it seems
   to import fine however when bringing the backup files into the new server it
   doesnt work.
 * I tried installing a new installation, then importing the database over the old
   database but that still doesnt work.
 * Any help would be really appreciated.
 * I can access all files to make ammendments however can no longer access the live
   site on the old server.

 * Did you use the WordPress native export (“Tools > Export”)? Try exporting from
   your old server with that option and importing into the new server with the WP
   generated file.
 * If this doesn’t work, let us know.

 * Thanks for the reply, as dumb as it sounds I didnt even know there was an export/
   import tool, I tried using wptwin but my server was not running suphp so it would
   not run, I basically ftp’d in and copied everything.
 * I seem to have managed to get it working, but have to readd all my images, I
   basically reinstalled the database, reinstalled a new installation of wp 3.1,
   then added the plugins, activated them, and then installed my theme and it seems
   to have worked.
 * I am sure I did that before though and it didnt work.
 * I have a few other sites to move so will be trying the export tool. Will post
   the outcome as soon as I do
 * Thanks again for the help. 🙂

 * Hi
 * Using the export tool doesnt export the images on the site?
 * Is there any way to export all the images as well, so then everything could be
   reimported in a new installation.
 * Thanks for the help
 * Theo
