# Moving wordpress.com to wordpress.org

 * I initially registered a domain through wordpress.com, but now would like to 
   switch to wordpress.org. I have hosting through DreamHost, but can’t figure out
   how to transfer the site. I don’t need to transfer any content from wordpress.
   com, just starting fresh.
    I changed my domain on wordpress.com to point to DreamHost’s
   servers, per another forum, but am stuck on how to proceed. Please help!

 * How long ago did you change the DNS settings? It can take up to 72 hours for 
   that change to fully take effect.
 * So you just want to start fresh on DH? Have you done anything over there yet?
   They have great support and their 1-click install for WP makes it really easy
   too.
