# Multilanguage issue

 * Hi,
 * I have a very basic multilanguage understanding issue with woocommerce.
 * Is it correct, that I need to clone a product to start the translated version?
 * I have started translating it by cloning, like with the pages on wp.
 * But when I do so, I have physically two products in the database. I need to translate
   my product templates as well and I only get rid of keeping two records or templates
   by a more dynamic product template design and a way to omit as many products 
   as languages to be translated.
 * So conceptually, cloning is a mess.
 * Is there any understanding issue from my side, or is this by intention?

    Cloning is not needed. When you translate
   with WPML, a translated product is being created. You can check our documentation

    From the technical side – yes you will have separate product in DB for
   each language.
