Hi, we’re getting hit with hundreds of “failed” WooCommerce orders. They are all from different IP’s (and under different countries), and using different names and addresses. We have reCAPTCHA active, and have tried both V2 and V3. In the Wordfence panel, I’ve made the following updates:

If anyone’s requests exceed: 60 per minute
If a crawler’s page views exceed: 60 per minute
If a human’s page views exceed: 30 per minute

What can I actually do to get rid of them? Appreciate any advice and assistance

Hi @tictubso, thanks for reaching out!

Although Wordfence works on sites running WooCommerce, and a couple of our features such as 2FA/reCAPTCHA are specifically compatible with its login/registration pages, taking orders is specific to e-commerce platforms rather than WordPress core. There are add-ons for WooCommerce I’ve seen such as “WooCommerce Fraud Prevention” (and there are likely others) that have advanced blocking features for the purpose you describe, especially if guest checkout is allowed.

Our Rate Limiting or Brute Force settings could be useful if an IP is hitting your site in quick succession but if the orders themselves are being sent from different IPs and filling out your order forms, our reCAPTCHA doesn’t currently extend to the order form so a WooCommerce specific solution may be necessary.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
