# Multiple blogs?

 * Hello,
 * I just launched the blog on my website and am thrilled. Really. So, I’m thinking
   that the blog format would also be dandy for several other ‘departments’ (magazine
   term) I have on the site such as news, bio, etc.
 * So…can I launch multiple blogs with the one software package installed on my 
   server? I realise this is likely a stupid question, but don’t worry, I have lots
   of stupid questions.

 * No you cannot with the single WP installation. You can launch multiple blogs 
   by:
    1. [multiple installations ](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_Multiple_Blogs)
   of [single WP](http://wordpress.org/download/) 2. [use WP Multi-User version](http://mu.wordpress.org/download/)
 * It really depends on many factors.

   the multi-user version also.
