 * I want to set up a three-blog scheme using the single-database, multiple-blog
   method set out [here](http://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_Multiple_Blogs),
   but am wondering what’s best for the top level directory. Should I set up a blog
   at /root in addition to the blogs in each subdirectory?
 * The /root blog would provide the initial database, to which I would add tables
   for each subsidiary blog. But is there any other use for that top level blog?
   Would it be useful for creating some sort of sitemap, combined display, or other
   function?
