# multiple crop sizes

 * I would like to be able to have multiple crop sizes of images that are uploaded.
 * For instance currently you have this checkbox under the thumbnail:
 * > Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional)
 * Why not have that option under every … or even be able to have more then 3 image
   sizes that every image is resized to.
 * The reason I ask, is a theme that I am working with has two set aspect ratio 
   areas that images are used.

 * I’m looking for this too.
 * One way is [TimThumb](http://www.darrenhoyt.com/2008/04/02/timthumb-php-script-released/).
 * However, I’d rather do it with WordPress if possible and not take php hits for
   every single image load. TimThumb does have cache but it still has to check the
   cache.
