Hi,

The store I’m working on has a UPS account in CAD, but we are shipping from US and CAD. Using hooks, I’m able to switch origin addresses, but the problem is that the currency switcher also switches the shipping price, so I get the wrong currency error for US orders (UPS: Invalid UPS currency USD for service 12.).

I saw an answer for a similar problem that I have where they pointed to this article https://flexibleshipping.com/ups-currency-switcher-configuration-woocommerce/. But in this article, all the prices are switches to one currency.

If I buy the pro version of this plugin, would I be able to tweak the solution offered in the article to achieve a dual currency UPS price?

Hi,

The UPS API can only handle and return the currency assigned to the account.

Therefore, we need to send values in this currency to the API.

The API also returns rates only in this currency.

We cannot use any other currency in communication with the API.

Thanks, but that doesn’t really answer my question. If I buy the pro version of the plugin, could I use a currency switcher to display the prices in the correct currency for the client? I know we can only send CAD to UPS, as that’s how our account is set up.

The article I listed shows how to switch all rates to one currency, but I’d like to display two. The article you provided requires a translation plugin, is that really necessary? All I want is to send CAD to UPS, but display CAD or USD in the cart/checkout based on shipping location.

Hi,

translation plugin is not required.

UPS PRO works with currency switches. Compatible switches are listed in the article.
