    - [GitHub – rhubarbgroup/redis-cache: A persistent object cache backend for WordPress powered by Redis. Supports Predis, PhpRedis, Relay, replication, sentinels, clustering and WP-CLI.](https://github.com/rhubarbgroup/redis-cache)
 * I have checked the Github document, and it seems like there is an option to group
subsites and create multiple keys. Unfortunately I can’t find more details, and
wonder if you guys have any samples that I can learn from.
 * I have about 40 subsites in a network, and would like to split them in groups.
   When I tried [WP MultiNetwork](https://oci.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-multi-network/)
plugin w/ Redis Object Cache, it turned out that I cannot have activated ROC
for each sub-network, and if so, the behavior was weird. For one sub-network
w/o that many subsites, it was nearly dead. On the other hand, sub-networks w/
many subsites, the metrics were jumping around. I guess it is because only 1
object cache file was created for multiple sub-network. If I can split, by subsite
groups, it may work properly. At least, even without [WP MultiNetwork](https://oci.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-multi-network/),
I still would like to group subsites for object caching.

 * Redis Object Cache must be activated for the entire network and cannot be used
in groups or on a per-site basis.
 * WordPress is quite bad at object caching when it comes to multisite installations.

 * [@julieadrienne](https://wordpress.org/support/users/julieadrienne/) Thx for
the quick update. What about your Pro version? This is not the most popular option,
I guess, but it is needed to create several files of Redis cache, if one server
runs a lot of websites all together.

 * The above configuration option’s ‘global’ feature looks somewhat related.

 * No, Object Cache Pro also requires a network-wide activation. That’s how object
caching is built in WordPress core.
