• Hi there

I have a really slow personal website and i’m trying to improve the speed. The new (to me) health tests show this message:

Autoloaded options are configuration settings for plugins and themes that are automatically loaded with every page load in WordPress. Having too many autoloaded options can slow down your site. Your site has 1096 autoloaded options (size: 806 KB) in the options table, which could cause your site to be slow. You can review the options being autoloaded in your database and remove any options that are no longer needed by your site.

But I haven’t the first idea how to change this for the better, and reading the information linked to in the text box did not get me any closer. Is there a step by step guide?

It’s the same for this PHP module thing:

PHP modules perform most of the tasks on the server that make your site run. Any changes to these must be made by your server administrator.

The WordPress Hosting Team maintains a list of those modules, both recommended and required, in the team handbook(opens in a new tab).

    • Warning The optional module, imagick, is not installed, or has been disabled.

    And then this security one:

Your website does not send all essential security headers.

    • Upgrade Insecure Requests
    • X-XSS protection
    • X-Content Type Options
    • Referrer-Policy
    • Permissions-Policy
    • HTTP Strict Transport Security

I’m not a coder or programmer at all, so I have no idea where to start with resolving all this. Any help hugely appreciated.

Read this article, which reports similar issue. Maybe it could be a solution.

Thanks! That has indeed fixed one of the issues. Now however…

Page cache enhances the speed and performance of your site by saving and serving static pages instead of calling for a page every time a user visits.

Page cache is detected by looking for an active page cache plugin as well as making three requests to the homepage and looking for one or more of the following HTTP client caching response headers:cache-controlexpiresagelast-modifiedetagx-cache-enabledx-cache-disabledx-srcache-store-statusx-srcache-fetch-status.

    •  Median server response time was 2,205 milliseconds. It should be less than the recommended 600 milliseconds threshold.
    •  No client caching response headers were detected.
    •  A page cache plugin was not detected.

What do I actually do, step by step, about this? There is a page cache plugin as I installed one trying to sort this situation out, but other than that, no idea what next.

Could you list out all the plugins installed on your WP site on this thread? Are there any specific cache management plugins installed?
