multiple item selection in dropdown in variable product

i have try that but another issue another issue raise . i have two dropdown color and size.

i have two color for my product ex. cherry and seaform. cherry have only available size (4s and 10M) and seaform color have another two size available (14s and 8s) .. i have set default value color seaform and size to 8s. i have add variation as you suggest in previous message please take a look at screenshot http://screenshot.net/8nw48s9 .

but in front end color dropdown cherry color is not appear , here is screenshot of that http://screenshot.net/0gpq0il. to me it seems that is not appear just becuase first color dropdown is bind the value based on second dropdown(size).. it seems like bug … first dropdown should work individually. value of second dropdown(size) bind based on first dropdown(color) that is fine .. but this vice versa cause an issue .. instead of that you can print message that this option is not available

Thanks for your message , what i want every time all value in first dropdown need to appear ..

currently if user select value from second drodwon that is size for ex. 8s and then suddenly from first dropdown all color disappear which have no 8s size available… instead of disspaer the item i want to display the that combination is not available in case they select wrong combination . i have set avilable combination in variation

will be greatful to you if you can provide me trick to achieve this requirement

currently in my product filtration new color image appear only after i select value in both dropdown . i have read your answer that “It cannot be based on a single attribute”. but still is there any trick that will change image on single attribute selection ..
