# Multiple Pings

 * I am posting multiple times a day but I would like to ping only once a day so
   as not to appear to be spamming (Google especially). Is there a plugin for this,
   or should I not even worry about it?

 * I could be wrong, but pinging for each post isn’t considered spam. Pinging multiple
   times for each post would.

 * The update services will only consider your pings to be spam if you ping multiple
   times consecutively within a short amount amount of time, usually no less than
   ten seconds and no more than one minute.

 * I was not aware that any ping service published any criteria regarding ping frequency/
   intensity / ban periods. To do so would invite abuse would it not ?

 * No, they don’t publish it, but I did ask the support departments of a few services
   about a year ago. I suppose that it could have changed by now.
