 * Is there a way to batch upload all the files in our media folder? We have hundreds
of files that should be protected to our paying customers but are coming up in
search engine results and are directly accessible for download by anyone. People
have taken our content, downloaded, and have uploaded now to scribd. I also do
not understand how the uploading to download manager plugin works, since we already
have all this content uploaded on our pages. Please help!
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fmultiple-uploads-5%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hi,
The upload directory provided by Download Manager is direct HTTP access
protected and the search engine will not find them. And when attaching a file
with wpdm to serve, you can control the access by user roles. Only the used from
the assigned user roles will be able to download the items.
 * You also can use our dropbox ( [https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/dropbox-explorer/](https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/dropbox-explorer/))
   or amazon s3 ( [https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wordpress-amazon-s3-storage-plugin/](https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wordpress-amazon-s3-storage-plugin/))
   to server files securely.
 * But, if you already have uploaded all files in a public folder ( directly accessible
using HTTP ), you need to move the files to secure wpdm folder `/wp-content/uploads/
download-manager-files/` and then create downloads from `Admin Menu >> Downloads
   >> Add New`, from there you will be able to attach file from your server using
   server file browser.
